[efn_reset][/efn_reset]On October 3rd 2021, 60-Minutes featured Frances Haugen, who claims to be a whistleblower against misinformation and hate speech. The interview, her allegations, and her lawsuit with the SEC exposes how the Deep State uses the media to carefully craft a narrative prior to large legislation and regulations7.
While watching the interview, I felt like I was parsing through Soviet propaganda. But once I pierced the veil of their doublespeak, the interview and Haugen’s tactics reveal a Deep State plot to regulate social media and the internet in general.
Allegations
The interview paints a picture that Facebook is directly responsible for profiting off of “content that is hateful, that is divisive, that is polarizing.” Haugen claims that there are “conflicts of interest between what was good for the public and what was good for Facebook.”
The interview shows images of the so-called Jan 6th Insurrection and then alleges that Facebook and its hateful content is “tearing societies apart and causing ethnic violence around the world.” The interviewer says that some organizers of the Insurrection used Facebook, implying that Facebook is responsible for the actions of the Jan 6th protesters.
Evidence
Even though American institutional integrity is in decline, allegations are meaningless without evidence8. For her part, Haugen is an expert at collection information. In fact, she has so much evidence that it would have taken her years to collect.
Since she only worked at Facebook for two years, it is a small jump to assume that she took the position with the goal of sabotaging the company. Haugen said that she joined FB to specifically become a member of the “Civic Integrity” group. This group was tasked with overseeing misinformation, hateful content, and effects on elections.
With a Masters degree from Harvard, Haugen is the perfect mole for the Deep State. During her stay at FB “she secretly copied tens of thousands of pages of Facebook internal research.” In the stolen documents, she shows that FB changed algorithm to be “safer” to reduce misinformation starting in 2018, just prior to the presidential election season.
The bombshell, at least from their point of view, was that “as soon as the election was over they turned them back off.” Basically, she claims that FB has software that protects the nation from misinformation and hate, but they turned it off after the election to maximum profits. In so many words, they claim Facebook’s failure to protect democracy lead directly to the Jan 6th Insurrection.
When Regulations Legalize Theft
The first revelation from this interview is how the State uses its own regulations to bully private companies and ‘legally’ steal confidential information. By using a loophole in the Dodd Frank act9, Haugen is suing Facebook by filing claims with the SEC. This monstrosity of a bill created the The office of the Whistleblower, which legalizes the theft of company documents if they show harm to shareholders of a public company.
Of course, this calms is completely absurd. Haugen claims that Facebook turned off the “safety” switch in favor of profits. Last I checked, profit helps shareholders, so the claim that revealing these private documents protects shareholders is completely baseless and absurd.
She stole these documents to build a case for publicly embarrassing Facebook and helping Congress pass legislation to regulate the internet in the name of safety. Judging by her sophisticated attack on the company, it should be obvious that she isn’t acting alone.
Bombshell Revelation
Without realizing it, or maybe without caring, the CBS interview admits to an amazing, bombshell revelation. Facebook willing turned on special software during the presidential election to influence potential voters. It would be easier to claim ignorance if it stayed on forever, but Facebook blazingly turned off the special software once the elections were over to improve user experience on the platform and increase profits.
Given the timing of this special software, it is easy to read between the lines that the software targeted the Trump campaign. Once Trump was out, the software hurt profits too much and became obsolete, so they turned it off.
Why does Facebook Matter?
The interview layouts out why Facebook is so important to politics. Referring to mainstream political parties in Europe, they say FB is “forcing us to take positions that we don’t like, that we know are bad for society. We know that if we don’t takes those position we won’t win in the marketplace of social media.”
Simply put, political parties have to change their platforms to suit the will of the people. Think about that for a second. CBS implies that this is bad! If they were truly in favor of democracy, they would hail Facebook for expressing the will of the people.
Instead, the Deep State is livid that Facebook, a private company, has so much influence on voting and the political process. They see power slipping away from the corporate media and their vested special interest.
Concordia
In the book, Concordia, There must be a Better Way, the media is exposed for its conflict of interest between the truth and special interest. The book goes to great pains to show how the State uses media to manipulate public opinion.
A truly free society is only possible with a free competitive press. The fictional government assures competition by removing all regulations of the press and by protecting the privacy of electronic information.
For a detailed look at the media in action, read the book and see how the media subverts liberty and freedom.
