Wuhan Institute of Virology

Is Covid-19 manmade or natural? This is probably the most important question of our time. If the virus emanated in a lab, then immediate and harsh legal action should be taken against the lab and everybody that helped to cover it up, including government bureaucrats. Of course, the “lab” in question has been the root of speculation and conspiracy theories since early 20201.

Let’s start with some basics. Wuhan is a city of 11 million people and is the largest city in central China. When it comes to uncovering the source of the virus, its geography rules out any possibility that it came from overseas. The city is over 500 miles away from a port, which means we can be absolutely certain the pandemic started in Wuhan. Naturally, the virus could have come from somewhere else, but definitely not the first outbreak.

Disclaimer: With all of my blog posts, I recommend that you review my sources. I spend a lot of time researching my blogs so you don’t have to. However, this post deals with so much speculation, that it is best for you to review the source materials before drawing conclusions.

Wet Market Theory

In fact, the leading theory, and the one pushed by governments, is that the first human infection occurred in a wet market in the Yangchahu neighborhood2. Critically for this theory, the market was about 10 miles away from the Wuhan Institute of Virology and located on the other side of the Yangtze River. Further, heatmaps of initial infections from December 2019 showed the wet market had significantly more cases than the area around the lab3.

Even though all the publicly available data points towards the market, China has been less than forthcoming with information. Many times the Chinese government contradicted its own previous statements. The most embarrassing case was with bats. Bats were easy to blame too, since there was strong evidence that bats caused SARS4. The only problem was that the wet market in question didn’t sell bats5. With mountains of evidence against bats as the source, even China has backed away from blaming bats6.

No bats, no case

Unfortunately, for the wet market theory, without bats there isn’t a strong case for the pandemic emanating at the market. This market is primarily a fish market, and it is common knowledge that fish don’t breath air! Bats are such a critical part of this theory because they are wild animals. If instead, the disease came from livestock, then initial outbreaks would have been on farms, NOT in a densely populated urban area. In order for the wet market theory to have any credibility, there has to be a wild animal host to spread the disease.

Another big hole in this theory is that many of the initial cases had no connections to the market7. Again, the Chinese government has concealed information and changed its story here too. Sadly, an early whistler blower, Dr Li Wenliang, died after contracting Covid while trying to save lives8. If the China had nothing to hide, then why did they silence doctors?

Lab Leak

The next best theory is that the virus came from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. If this theory is correct, then the Chinese government is guilty of the biggest crime and coverup in the history of mankind. With that in mind, you can safely conclude that NO hard evidence will ever come to light that support this theory. If that evidence ever existed, the Chinese destroyed it long ago and silenced anybody familiar with the evidence. The best we can do is look at circumstantial evidence and guide our investigation with game theory (e.g. what would you do if you were in their shoes).

The biggest smoking gun for the lab leak theory is the simple fact that the Wuhan lab researched coronaviruses, like SARS and Covid. Further, the research done in this lab was known as gain-of-function, which is another way to say that the lab enhanced naturally occurring pathogens9. Shockingly, both China and the USA funded this research. Recently the National Institutes of Health admitted to funding gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses10. Of course, this doesn’t prove anything, but it means they had a lab full of viruses capable of causing global pandemics.

Sick Researchers

Another piece in the puzzle is a group of researchers from Wuhan Institute of Virology that were hospitalized in November of 201911. The only information available to the public comes from a US intelligence report. The report doesn’t give names or the location of the hospital. So besides wild speculation, it is impossible to determine whether or not these scientists had Covid-19. However, we can be certain that China silenced other doctors, so it is safe to assume no witnesses or whistleblowers will come forward.

US intelligence also released a story about the wife of a researcher who died in December 201912. Again, without more information, it is impossible to determine the truth. Clearly, the US government suspects the lab, otherwise there would be no reason to disclose these reports.

China has Guilty Conscience

Since the beginning of the pandemic, China has consistently blamed the US Military for releasing the virus13. Even now, China maintains that the original leak occurred at Fort Detrick, Maryland in the summer of 201914. There is nothing new under the sun with governments blame shifting. However, it is revealing that both governments feel the need to point the finger at one another. This reveals that neither really believes the wet market theory.

Unless you have access to top secret information, it is impossible to know who is correct. Maybe they are both wrong. But one thing is certain: both governments have a lot to hide and show clear signs of a guilty conscience, especially China.

The Shape is not Natural

The final piece to the puzzle is the shape of the virus. If the virus was made in a lab, then its RNA should show evidence of manipulation. This is exactly what some top researchers claim15. Dr. Steven Quay and Richard Muller say that the virus has a genetic footprint not found in natural coronaviruses. Specifically, the CGC-CGG sequence is commonly used by lab researchers and not found in naturally occurring coronaviruses. As you probably already guessed, Covid-19 has the CGC-CGG sequence within its RNA.

I am familiar with genetic sequencing in the board, high-level sense. But I am no expert and have no way to determine the validity of their claims. However, there are other scientists and doctors that have tried to speak up. Just like in China, these doctors could not publicly speak16. It seems that Big Tech, with the blessing of the US Gov, has blocked numerous dissenting voice. Why? Maybe they’re on to something.

Conclusion

When it is all said and done, only one of these theories can be correct. For the wet market theory to be correct, the missing animals must be found. It took over a decade to track down the source of SARS, so it is not unusual for this process to drag out. To verify the lab theory, researchers from the lab must come public with hard evidence. This too could take years to decades to materialize. So whichever you think is most likely, we won’t find out for quite some time, maybe never.

For me personally, I think the lab leak is more compelling. Once the virus leaked, the Chinese government could have easily released it in the wet market to shift the focus of investigators. All of the signs point to this being the most likely scenario, especially since bats were never sold at the market in question. The Chinese government rushed to cover up the evidence, and in so doing, endangered all of mankind.

This virus has killed over 5 million innocent people. If it was created and leaked from a lab, then Covid is the largest crime of all time. It will surely consume more than the 6 million slaughtered in the holocausts. Learning the true source of Covid is the greatest unsolved mystery of our time.
